Vietnam Cycling Tours

The Vietnam Cycling Tours through Hanoi, Tam Coc and Trang An in 2 days is an ideal experience to see some of the wonderful landscapes that northern Vietnam has to offer. We will enjoy a boat ride through the impressive caves of Tam Coc, an opportunity to admire the vegetation and fauna of the town. Our trip will begin the moment we move from Hanoi to the point from where we will begin our cycling adventure.

We will take difficult roads, imposing mountains but it is all worth it when you have beautiful landscapes and impressive towns ahead of you where we will get to know their people, their culture and customs. We will enjoy the different typical dishes of the area, an activity that cannot be missed when we visit any town in our Vietnam Cycling Tours.

This adventure, despite being very short, will help us be in contact with nature, an activity that many appreciate and is highly recommended for health.


Day 1: Hanoi – Tam Coc (three grottoes)
Our cycling guide and shuttle bus will pick us up at 7:30am. at the hotel. We’ll leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and head off by bus to Xuan Mai, southwest of Hanoi. Upon arriving at the starting point where we will begin our bicycle adventure, we will first learn to control it as well as the rest of the equipment, an essential rule of this trip for greater safety on the journey. We will begin to ride on a paved road passing through many quiet villages, local markets, temples and pagodas and large green rice fields.

Upon reaching Duc Khe we will break for lunch and take some incredible photos of the scenic beauty of Huong Son. After lunch, we will continue pedaling along the road and cross a bridge to return to the paved road, passing the rice field and the rural village to the Van Long Wet Land Nature Reserve. Throughout the journey we will be able to see the magnificent limestone mountains and picturesque towns. Then, we will continue to Tam Coc. There we will spend the night and enjoy a delicious dinner at the Hidden Charm hotel.


Day 2: Tam Coc – Trang An – Hoa lu – Bai Dinh – Kenh Ga – Hanoi
On the second day of our little adventure, we will get up early to take a boat trip and admire incredible landscapes and rare birds within the protected area. The landscape is impressive, we will be fascinated by enjoying the virgin nature. As part of our itinerary, we will continue pedaling our bicycles on the secondary road and pass through picturesque villages of Trang, a scenic beauty and world natural and cultural heritage.

We will go through potholes and broken roads but it will be worth it as we will be able to admire the magnificent limestone mountain range mixed with a lush green rice field. We will enjoy a two-hour boat trip to explore the exceptional beauty, cultural interest and high biodiversity of Trang.

Our boat will return to the dock and we will continue pedaling until we reach a local restaurant where we will enjoy a delicious Vietnamese meal.

Afterwards, we will continue our way to the ancient capital of Vietnam, Hoa Lu. We will take the time to visit and learn about Vietnamese history. Then, we will continue our way along the paved road that leads to the giant Bai Dinh Buddhist temple, a pilgrimage center of Vietnam in the 21st century built to satisfy Vietnamese spiritual life. We will continue cycling through an impressive rice field to Kenh Ga, our Vietnam Cycling Tours ends in Hanoi.
